Our week was pretty unproductive, considering I was sick for the most of it. Last Monday, I went to work and by the end of the day, just felt HORRIBLE! So, I had Ryan meet me at the walk-in doctor's office so I could see what was wrong. Much to my surprise, the doctor said they were too busy (there were only 2 people in the waiting room) to see me that night. So, I decided I would just get up early and go to the doctor's office near my work. I went there on Tuesday morning, and was given a flu test (and realized I lost 5 pounds)!!! The doctor came in at first and told me my flu test came back negative and I had broncitis, and he would go write a prescription for me to get rid of my cough. Well, when he came back in he said right before he threw the flu test away, he checked it again, and it changed to positive. Please tell me how that happens?!?! So then I was diagnosed with the flu. He told me I needed to stay out of work for a week (which would be November 11). I was just thinking to myself that I cannot miss a whole week of work since I don't get paid days off yet! So, I was feeling better and went to work Thursday and Friday. I did Lysol the whole house so Ryan wouldn't get sick, which thankfully he hasn't!!!! *Fingers Crossed*
On Thursday night, we took Reece to a training class on chewing and jumping up, since he likes to chew on wood and jump on everyone that walks in the house. We learned that he tears up the house when we are gone because he isn't getting enough exercise. So every morning when I go running, he is now going with me to get his exercise!! We also learned that he chews on stuff because he doesn't have enough chew toys, so Ryan and I bought him a compressed rawhide bone which lasts longer than normal bones and a "kong" which you put peanut butter in and it keeps him occupied for a while because it takes a while to get the peanut butter out. And we are currently training the OFF command so he won't jump on everyone that walks in the door. This just means we ignore him until he sits down and then give him attention and don't let him jump up on the furniture. Hopefully, all of this will work out and he will be a well-trained dog!
Friday marked the day for 4 MONTHS until the wedding!!! On Friday night we just went and grabbed a quick bite to eat and had a relaxing night with the dog. It was nice to finally have nothing to do. Saturday morning we went and looked at the house! They have the cabinets in the kitchen and bathrooms, the countertops in the kitchen and the bathroom, all of the appliances minus the refridgerator and washer and dryer, and the landscaping done! It is all coming together, and we are soooooo excited! Saturday night, Ryan wanted to go to a car show in Jacksonville. We went, but weren't that impressed. Ryan was under the impression that more car vendors would be there (there were only 3 there). After we left there, we just decided to eat at the food court in the mall because we both wanted something different: he wanted pizza and I wanted chinese food! So far today, we have taken the dog for a walk and I watched the church service online again :) We are hoping this week goes by fast because we get to go home this weekend for the Carolina vs. Florida game!!!!
